I work between (across, over or something) Early Modern Studies and New Media/Dig Culture. I have published a book on as much; articles and chapters on theory, new media, film. I have worked on/designed several new media projects (Including the locative media project, "The Hollins Community Project" -- NSF; HASTAC; and Wi (Canada). Brown Pembroke Fellow, and participant in "Mediated Bodies/Bodies of Mediation." I am part of a team working on a New Media and Digital Culture program at Coastal Carolina University, which is also home to Ashes2Art. Finally, I am part of the BABEL Working Group ( "a non-hierarchical scholarly collective and post-institutional assemblage with no leaders or followers, no top and no bottom, and only a middle...") , and co-editor with Martin Foys of a special "Becoming Media" issue of Postmedieval; a journal of medieval cultural studies (Palgrave-Macmillan).

I do not Galaga; but I have developed a keen retro-interest in King of Dragon Pass.
